Crunchy Bacon Wrapped Goat Cheese

Who doesn't love bacon? Featuring Chef's Own Pre-Dust, Chef's Own Tempura Batter and Chef's Own Cornflake Crumbs. Goat cheese wrapped with bacon then deep-fried will put a smile on any one's face. 

What You'll Need

20  Bacon slices
1 kg Goat cheese
5 g Salt
3 g Pepper
30 g Chef's Own™ Pre-Dust
250 g Chef's Own™ Tempura Batter
600 ml Water
200 g Chef's Own™ Cornflake Crumbs


Preparation Step 1– crunchy bacon
1. PREPARE THE BACON BALLS: Cut or form the goat cheese into chunks of equal size pieces (about 50g each). Season with salt & pepper. Wrap each in a slice of bacon.
Preparation Step 2 – crunchy bacon
2. Dust the wrapped cheeses with Chef's Own™ Pre-Dust (Step 1)
Preparation Step 3– crunchy bacon
3. Dissolve Chef's Own™ Tempura Batter in cold water. Allow batter to rest for 10 minutes, dip the cheeses into the batter. (Step 2)
Preparation Step 4– crunchy bacon
4. Coat the cheeses with Chef's Own™ Cornflake Crumbs. (Step 3).
Preparation Step 5 – crunchy bacon
5. Deep fry cheeses at 165°C for 3-4 minutes.
